Singapore Pools was established in 1968 for the dual objective of combating illegal gambling operators and channelling gaming revenues for good causes. The National Stadium was the very first project Singapore Pools committed toward. For many years, she was the reason for our existence. Over $14.5million was channelled to the construction of the National Stadium.
To commemorate the National Stadium, Singapore Pools has created a special National Stadium Commemorative Sweep Ticket. Customers have the option of buying a single Singapore Sweep ticket with a nostalgic image of the National Stadium, or they could buy the special version with the image spread across two tickets. This is the first time Singapore Pools has created 2 versions of tickets for the same draw. Images of the tickets are attached.
The tickets are on sale at all Singapore Pools outlets and by Singapore Sweep sellers throughout the island from 21 June 2007 until 18 July 2007. In conjunction with the National Stadium Closing events, it will also be available at the National Stadium East Entrance this Saturday, 30 June 2007 from 5pm - 8pm.
The Singapore Sweep draw will be held on 18 July 2007 at 6.30pm. Members of the public above 18 years of age are welcome to witness the draw at Singapore Pools Draw Hall in Paradiz Centre.
